The best little gifts for any art book lover: Lark Studio Series

I am so happy to share with you these little treasures.
As I mentioned before in my blog, I am a big lover of books and these small books are just the best I can imagine to give away to your friends and family.

Lark jewelry and beading had a great idea by making these small size books from their 500 Series.


The Lark Studio Series have 100 images from a corresponding title in the 500 Series. What I like best about these books is the beautiful pocket-sized, this makes them a perfect gift for this holidays and great stocking stuffers !
It is like having a tiny gallery in your hands !!

Each of the books have wonderful images and great print quality. You will love to see each one of them, the work is so inspirational and beautiful. No matter what type of medium you use, you will love them all.

My Frida !

I have always been an admirer of Frida's life and work but mostly her life and the way she lived it. She had a difficult journey but she always managed to come back from painful experiences stronger and more willing to live her life to the fullest.


I feel the same way, I have had some difficult moments in my life but I have learned to take the positive ALWAYS and learn from it. Life is to short to waste it in small things. 


I wanted to make a piece dedicated to Frida, and finally this week I got the courage and created a ring in her honor.
This is my humble interpretation of her and how I see her.

My first step was to hand sculpted Frida with Creative Paperclay.

Then I created a tree of life and a sacred heart with wings. These symbols are very important to me and I think they go perfectly with Frida's life.

Finally I added life to the piece by coloring it with acrylics.

Frida was never afraid to the dead and even though she suffered from a terrible accident that left her in pain for the rest of her life, she always had her wings to fly and express her life through her paintings.

I am obsess with Creative paperclay ! I need an intervention !!!

Hola, my name is Lorena and I am obsess with Creative Paperclay ! 
I have to accept that when I approach a new technique or material I really get into it to the fullest ! Since I got my package of Creative paperclay I have not been able to stop !!
I still have one more piece that I am working on right now but in general I finished the whole package and I am feeling sad !!!
