Things in life can get in your way...

I am going through some difficult times and it is so incredible to see how it affects my creativity. I always go to my studio when I feel sad or stress because making art in any form makes my soul and heart happy.
At this moment I know things will get better and I am coming to my studio for inspiration and to feed my soul with one of the things I love the most, next to my family, creating and transforming an object into something that will bring me happiness.

Do you think that creating art is like therapy for your soul ? It is for me and I will start my therapy very soon.

  4. You're amazing!

I too am experiencing some challenges and in the past creating in the shop has been valuable - but not lately, as some of my challenges relate to my work/business - you inspire me to push past my challenges and get in there and make something :)

  5. Hang in there Lorena! I hope things will be better soon. I had an "interesting" day today. I can't focus on creativity so I think I'll go read a book. Usually though doing something creative makes me feel very good and puts me in a happy place.

  8. That piece looks good enough to eat!

Absolutely, Lorena. It seems when I'm sad I'm more introspective and therefore more in touch with my creative side. And of course it feels so good to use my hands and lose myself in a piece.

Hoping your difficult times pass quickly.

  9. I am sorry for your difficult times...I am glad you have your art to bring you joy. And, realize that the lovely side effect of that thing that brings you such happiness (your art) ALSO brings joy to others. So you are doctor and patient, you could say. ; )

I am fighting all the way to solve this problem but I know that no matter the outcome, my kids, my husband and myself will be alright.

  13. Sometimes it is the only thing that keeps me sane. I understand that need so well...it doesn't matter if you are an award winning artist, or even a working artist, art and creation feed and heal the soul.
